These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the blackwood.sg website and Blackwood’s digital enquiry channels, including our automated enquiry assistant on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. By using the website or messaging us on these channels, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. Who we are

The website and enquiry services are operated by Blackwood Carpentry Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore (“Blackwood”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@blackwood.sg or +65 8978 8979.

2. Automated enquiry assistant

To respond to enquiries promptly, some replies on our messaging channels are generated by an automated, AI-assisted system. Our team may review conversations and can take over and continue any conversation personally at any time.

Automated responses are provided for general information only. While we work to keep them accurate, they may occasionally be incomplete or contain errors, and they do not constitute professional, legal or financial advice. Anything important — including scope, pricing and timelines — will be confirmed by our team.

3. Quotations and pricing

Prices, estimates or figures mentioned on the website or in enquiry conversations (including by the automated assistant) are indicative only. No quotation or price is binding on Blackwood unless it is formally issued by us in writing and accepted, and any renovation works are governed by the terms of the formal quotation or contract for those works.

4. Your information

When you enquire with us, please provide information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share. We rely on what you tell us (for example about your property, scope and timeline) to respond helpfully; inaccurate information may lead to unsuitable responses or estimates.

5. Appointments

Our enquiry channels can help you arrange a consultation or appointment. An appointment arranged through these channels is a scheduling arrangement, not a contract for renovation works. We will confirm details with you, and either party may reschedule where needed.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website or our enquiry channels — including by sending unlawful, abusive, deceptive or infringing content, attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our systems, or using the channels to send spam or automated traffic.

7. Third-party platforms and services

Our enquiry channels operate on third-party platforms (such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram, operated by Meta Platforms and WhatsApp LLC). Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms and policies, which we do not control, and we are not responsible for the availability or conduct of those platforms.

8. Intellectual property

The content of this website — including text, images, videos and branding — belongs to Blackwood or its licensors and may not be reproduced or used commercially without our permission.

9. Limitation of liability

The website and enquiry channels are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Blackwood is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or enquiry channels, or from reliance on general information provided through them. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights or affects the terms of any formal renovation contract you enter into with us.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and your continued use of the website or enquiry channels after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
